How To Make A Patio Cushion Cover

Patio cushion covers are a great way to protect your cushions from the elements and add a touch of style to your outdoor space. Materials You'll Need:

Fabric of your choice
Measuring tape or ruler
Scissors
Sewing machine
Thread
Zipper (optional)

Step 1: Measure Your Cushion

The first step is to measure your cushion so that you can cut the fabric to the correct size. Measure the length, width, and height of the cushion, and add 2 inches to each measurement for seam allowances. For example, if your cushion is 20 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 4 inches high, you would cut your fabric to 22 inches long, 20 inches wide, and 6 inches high.

Step 2: Cut the Fabric

Once you have your measurements, cut the fabric to the correct size. You will need two pieces of fabric for the top and bottom of the cushion cover, and two pieces of fabric for the sides. If you are using a zipper, you will also need to cut a piece of fabric for the zipper placket.

Step 3: Sew the Sides
