How To Make Cushion Covers For Patio Furniture

Materials:

Fabric of your choice
Measuring tape or ruler
Scissors
Sewing machine
Thread
Zipper (optional)

Instructions:

Measure the cushions. Use a measuring tape or ruler to measure the length, width, and depth of the cushions. Add 2 inches to each measurement for seam allowances.
Cut the fabric. Cut two pieces of fabric according to the measurements you took in step 1. If you are using a patterned fabric, make sure to center the pattern on the fabric.
Sew the sides of the cover. With right sides together, sew the two pieces of fabric along the sides. Use a 1/2-inch seam allowance.
Insert the zipper (optional). If you are using a zipper, insert it into the opening in the side seam. Sew the zipper in place according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Sew the bottom of the cover. With right sides together, sew the bottom of the cover. Use a 1/2-inch seam allowance.
