Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Dig the holes for the posts Dig four holes, 2 feet deep and 2 feet wide, at the corners of your patio. Place the posts in the holes and fill them with concrete. Allow the concrete to cure for at least 24 hours. Step 2: Build the frame Attach the rafters to the posts using nails or screws. The rafters should be spaced 2 feet apart. Step 3: Sheath the roof Cover the rafters with 1x6 sheathing. The sheathing should be nailed or screwed to the rafters.
